William’s Obituary William Edward Gore, 87, of Wilmington, NC passed away on Wednesday, December 25, 2019 at The Lower Cape Fear Hospice & Life Care Center. He was born January 1, 1932 in Chadbourn, NC the son of the late Maybell Milligan Gore and William Lupton Gore. He was preceded in death by his wife of 48 years, Jeannette Gore. Mr. Gore retired from the United States Air Force where he served during the Korean Conflict. Over the course of his life, he served as a Pastor, and was Director of Missions in Southeastern North Carolina. His work for the Lord extended to West Virginia, Burgaw, North Carolina, Kinston, North Carolina, and numerous other locations. He will also be remembered for playing his Gibson guitar and leading song and worship. For his labor for the church and Lord, he never received financial compensation. In addition to his love for the Lord, he also enjoyed physical labor in scrap metal recycling. He is survived by his wife of 14 years, Beulah Gore; his children; and multiple grandchildren. The family will receive friends on Saturday, December 28, 2019 from 2:00 pm until 2:45 pm followed by a funeral service at 3:00 pm at The Pentecostals of Wilmington. Read More
