Petruzzi “Owner & Operator of Vincent Masonary” Vincent J. Petruzzi, 73, of Naugatuck, was reunited with his wife in heaven on Monday, December 16, 2019 at Waterbury Hospital. He was the loving husband of the late Jacqualine (Lawrence) Petruzzi. Vinnie was born in Waterbury on April 17, 1946, son of the late Canio and Lucy (Martinelli) Petruzzi. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam Era. Vinnie was a skilled stone mason and owned and operated Vincent’s Masonary for 54 years. Vinnie was a member of the Local 1 Brick Layers Union and worked various union jobs over the past 50 years. He was a member of the Aviglianese Sports Club, Hill Street Social Club both of Waterbury and the Eagles Club of Naugatuck. Vinnie leaves behind his two children; Ted Douty and his wife Sharon and Scott Douty and his wife Carol all of Naugatuck, his goddaughter, niece and caregiver, Tracie Wrinn of Wolcott, his siblings, Mark Petruzzi and his wife Rosalie of Bristol and Cathy Lebel and Mark Flinter of Waterbury, a sister in law, Annette Petruzzi of Waterbury, two grandchildren, Thomas & Erica Douty as well as several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his two brothers, Joseph Petruzzi and Canio “Ken” Petruzzi. Arrangements: A Mass of Christian Burial with his cremains present will be held on Friday, Decemeber 20, 2019, 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Lourdes Church. Everyone is asked to meet directly at the church. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery in Waterbury. There will be no calling hours per Vinnie’s wishes. Chase Parkway Memorial/The Albini Family Funeral Home, 430 Chase Parkway, Waterbury has been entrusted with handling Vinnie’s funeral arrangements.
