Verena Fay Mattingly passed away on Sunday 12/29/19. She was born 8/10/32 on her grandmother’s farm in Edmonson County KY to her father and mother, Wesley Elvin & Frances Pauline Martin. Eventually settling in Louisville, KY and married Joseph Mattingly, who preceded her in death in 1995. She was an extremely giving person and passionate about family, genealogy, reading and doing volunteer work for both Hospice and JCPS at Kenwood Elementary School She is survived by her children, Stephen (Linda) Mattingly, Paula (Jeff) Pasley, and also her grandchildren Chris (Laura) Reynolds, Ryan (Kelly) Reynolds, Jennifer Mattingly, Amy Samples (Billy Ritter), Sarah (Joey) Collins, Matthew (Danielle) Pasley, Tracy Reed, Andrew (Lauren) Ramirez, as well as 18 great grandchildren. Also, left to cherish her memory are 2 brothers James Martin, Wayne (Darlene) Martin, sister-in-law Audrey Mattingly and her numerous nieces and nephews. Her visitation will be 2-7 PM Friday with the funeral service beginning at 7 PM at Joseph E.
