Tammy Hickman, age 43, of Surgoinsville, went to her heavenly home unexpectedly on Sunday, December 15, 2019. She graduated from Volunteer High School in 1994 and was a graduate of ETSU, with a Bachelors Degree of Science. Tammy was employed by Area Agency of Aging and Disability, a branch of the senior citizens division of the city of Rogersville. She had a servants heart for taking care of people. Additionally, she loved all her clients, coworkers, church and her family, but most of all she loved the Lord. nature, flowers, waterfalls, butterflies and spending time with her friends and family were just a few of her most enjoyable interests. Tammy is preceded in death by her father, Andrew “Drew” Hickman ; great niece, Cayla Hickman; grandparents, Will and Louise Hickman and Steve and Matilda Anderson. She is survived by her mother, Mary Hickman and sister, Betsy Hickman of the home; sister, Karen Housewright and husband John Wayne of Church Hill; brother, Andrew “Jerry” Hickman and wife Pam of Blountville; nephews, Branden and Cody Housewright of Church Hill, Caleb Hickman and wife Bobbi of New Symrna, FL; nieces, Ashton and Olivia Hickman of Blountville; great nieces, Lacie, Abigail and Bethaney, New Symrna, FL; a host of special friends; her pets, Marley, Rover and Fluffy and other special pets who have passed. The family will receive friends, Friday, December 20, 2019 from 4:00 pm till 7:00 pm at Christian-Sells Funeral Home in Rogersville, with the funeral service to follow at 7:00 pm with Rev. Mark Helton and Rev. John Seymore officiating. Graveside services will be Saturday at 11:00 am at Bethel Cemetery.
