Obituary Shirley Greeson Moricle, 84, passed away on Saturday, December 28, 2019 at ARMC. A native of Alamance County, she was born to the late Fred Herman and Virginia Hutchens Greeson and married to the late William Francis “Bill” Moricle, Sr. for 47 years. She was an active member of Gibsonville Christian Church. She was the most loving mother, nana and great nana. Her devotion to the Lord was shown through her love to her family, church family and all four legged friends. She enjoyed gospel singings with friends, volunteering, going to her grandson’s sporting events, sharing the Sunday funnies and spending the time God gave her sharing her light with others. Proverbs 31 encompasses her heart. She is survived by her daughter, Sherrie M. Anderson (Tony) of Elon; son, William F. “Willie” Moricle, Jr. (Kim) of Greensboro; grandchildren, Megan M. Owen (Andrew) of Greenville, SC, Brittany M. Brownell (Brad) of Myrtle Beach, SC, William Cole Anderson of Elon; great grandson, “Baby” Briggs; brother, Junior Greeson (Glenda) of Whitsett and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents and sons, Gary Lynn Moricle and Freddie Eugene Moricle. The funeral will be held 2:00 PM Tuesday at Gibsonville Christian Church by Rev. William Baker with burial to follow in Gibsonville City Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:00–1:45 PM prior to the service at the church.
