Sharon Anne Bures, age 76, of Manassas, VA passed away on Wednesday, December 18, 2019 surrounded by her family. She was born on February 21, 1943 in Portland Maine to Arthur and Katherine Harnden Barton. Sharon was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She dedicated her life to caring for others. Sharon especially loved spending time with and nurturing her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. After raising her family, she worked as a loving daycare provider, retiring at age 74. She spent her entire life placing others before herself and was the embodiment of unconditional love. She showered her family with support and adoration. Her legacy of love will live on through her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Because of Sharon, succeeding generations of Bures’s will know how to love unconditionally and know what it feels like to be loved without limits. Survivors include her husband, Charles Bures; Sons, David Bures and wife Chris, Michael Bures and wife Dawn; Daughter, Melissa Bures; Grandchildren, Ken Bures, Katie Bures, Michelle Bures, Courtney Bures, and Amanda James and husband Brian; Great-Grandchildren, Christopher Lancaster and Olivia James; and Brother, Gordon Barton. Family and friends will gather for a visitation on Monday, December 30 2019, from 5:00 PM- 7:00 PM at Pierce Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 9609 Center Street in Manassas, VA.
