Aresco, 73, of Rockfall, passed away Thursday November 28, 2019 at his home surrounded by his family. He was born in Middletown, the son of the late Joseph M. and Elvira (Carta) Aresco. A veteran of the Vietnam War, he served proudly with the US Air Force. Prior to his retirement, Seb was an auditor with the State of CT Treasurer’s Office. He was very dedicated to his town, Saint Colman Church, and Middlefield’s democratic political party. Seb was simply a kind man who loved everyone with his whole heart and would help anyone who asked. He knew everyone and was very social. He enjoyed many of his days by the ocean where he would go boating or would stop for a lobster or whole belly clam roll at Lenny and Joe’s Fish Tale. He loved to go crabbing and cook his crab and pasta dinners for his family and friends to enjoy. He is survived by his daughter Amanda Gannon and her husband Sean Gannon of Rockfall and his daughter Andrea Richards and her husband Patrick Richards of Portland; his sister Anna Pestritto of Tampa Florida; niece, Lauralyn Pestritto and her husband Amadeo Rodriguez of Westport; his two nephews, Ronald J Pestritto and his wife Barbara of Hillsdale Michigan and Michael J Pestritto and his wife Carolyn of Hingham Massachusetts; and many great nieces and nephews along with several grand dogs. Seb is also survived by his companion of many years Joan Biagioni of Wethersfield. Funeral services will be held Friday (Dec. 6th) at 10:45 a.m. from Biega Funeral Home, 3 Silver St., Middletown, followed by a 11:30 a.m. Funeral Liturgy at St. Colman Church, Middlefield. Burial, with military honors, will be in the State Veteran’s Cemetery, Middletown. Friends may call at Biega Funeral Home on Thursday from 5 to 7 p.m. Those who wish may send memorial donations to the Helen and Harry Gray Cancer Center of Hartford Hospital is appreciated due to the loving and wonderful care he received.
