Scotty was born in Hall County on August 28, 1967. He was preceded in death by his wife Vivian Miles, step-son James Murphy, and his father Stephen Miles, Sr. Scotty attended Lumpkin County High School and was of the Baptist faith. He worked at B and M Metals and had volunteered for many years as a firefighter for Lumpkin County, Station 2. Scotty lived a quiet and peaceful life. Survivors include his mother Vergie Miles, Dahlonega; brothers and sisters-in-law Chad and Loretta Miles, Dahlonega, and Steve and Mandi Miles, North Carolina; step-son Jeffery Miles, California; several nieces, nephews, and other relatives. Memorial services are scheduled for 3:00 PM Sunday, December 8, 2019 at the chapel of Anderson-Underwood Funeral Home. The Rev. Ricky Stone and Mr. Joe Lanier will officiate. The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM to the hour of the service Sunday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers the family requests that contributions be made to help with final expenses.
