Obituary of Sara Jane Grounds Grounds, Sara Jane, 76 of Tampa, FL went to be with the Lord on December 5, 2019. Sara was born on May 14, 1943 in Ashland, Illinois to the late Dephim Pearn (Weaver) and was the 4th of 5 children. She joined the US Army after high school where she met the love of her life, Bud. They married on June 24th, 1962 and had three children. Sara had many jobs through the years but wife, mother, and grandmother were the titles she cherished the most. She was loved by all that knew her and will be greatly missed. A visitation will be held at Idlewild Baptist Church beginning at 9:00 am followed by a service at 10:00 am on Thursday,December 12, 18333 Exciting Idlewild Blvd, Lutz, FL 33548. Interment will follow at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, FL. Sara is survived by her husband, Bud Grounds; her 3 children, Jim Grounds, Teresa (Steve) Ankrom, and Ross Grounds; her brother, Victor Pearn; her grandchildren, Jimmy, Janelle, Alicia, Jordan, Brooklyn; her great grandson, James; and her many extended family members and friends.
