Roger Lee Croy Sr., 83, of Bloomington passed away Wednesday, December 25, 2019 at IU Health Hospice House in Bloomington. He was born on January 21, 1936 in Bloomington, Indiana the son of Seagle ton and Garnett Lucille (Archer) ton. He attended Bloomington High School. Roger was a US Navy Veteran serving during the Korean War, he was a boxer in the Navy and lost every time, he loved seeing the world while serving in the Navy. He married Joyce Ann Shields on May 7, 1984 they were happily married for thirty-five years. Roger was a member of the American Legion Post #18 in Bloomington. He was an avid golfer, loved making walking canes for people, he loved his family especially his grandchildren, and loved spending time with family and friends, he will be missed by all who loved and knew him. Roger leaves behind his wife, Joyce Croy of Bloomington; daughter, Sabrina (John) Walker of Bloomington; daughter Beth Ann Bennett of Bloomington; son, Bruce (Jennifer) Crouch of Bloomington; seven grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren; two brothers, Seagle Moncel ton of Columbus, GA; Alonzo (Deloris) Croy of Petaluma, CA. He is proceeded in death by his parents and a brother Junior Croy, and sister Janet Hitchcock. There are no service scheduled at this time. Cremation Rites have been accorded Allen Funeral Home and Crematory have been entrusted with arrangements.
