Robert (Bob) Allen Shurtleff, 65, of Marion, passed away on October 26, 2019 in Marion General Hospital I.C.U. He was born October 13, 1954 in Columbus, Ohio to the late Francis William and Caroline (Bradden) Shurtleff. On November 2, 1974 her married Deborah Lynn (Boganwright) who survives. Also surviving are his children Robert (Bobby) Shurtleff Jr and Melody Lynn Shurtleff of Marion; his brothers, Larry Shurtleff of Arcadia, Ohio and Raymond Shurtleff of Virginia Beach, Virginia; his sister, Jessie Thomas of Byhalia, Ohio; his fur babies, Missy Poo, Barita, and Cocoa; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his brother, Glenn Shurtleff, and two grandchildren. He graduated in 1973 from Highland High School in Morrow County. He worked for many years at Messenger’s Produce Market in Marion and retired after becoming disabled from end stage renal disease. He enjoyed truly enjoyed going to church and loved serving the Lord. He was a member of the Family life Church in Marion where he was very active and attended Victory Center Church for many years prior. He was a kind and caring person and would help anyone in need. He made sure that his family was always first and made sure he provided for them. He loved his family dearly. At this time, no visitation will be observed.. A memorial service will be planned and held at a later date.
