Visitation and Celebration of Life for Robert “Bob” Snodgrass age 73 of Clearwater, NE, will be 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday, January 4, 2019 at Snider Memorial Funeral Home in Clearwater, NE. Burial will be a later date. Bob passed away at UNMC in Omaha, on December 28, 2018 after a two-week battle of heart issues. Please help us celebrate the life of Bob by wearing casual Husker attire. Bob was born Oct. 16th , 1945, in Kalamazoo, Michigan, to Genevieve and Oliver Snodgrass. He attended high school in Neligh, Nebraska. Bob married Kathy Bierschenk on June 10, 1971, in Elko, Nevada. The couple built their home, with their three kids, on an acreage outside of Neligh, Nebraska. Bob and Kathy were married for 47 years before Bobs passing. He worked in sales in the agriculture industry for many years before retiring in 2001. At the time of his death he was employed by Morrison Farms working as a part-time USDA inspector. Bob was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather, he was an avid Husker fan, and was always smiling and enjoying life. He thoroughly enjoyed gardening and was always there to give a helping hand. During the fall, his grandchildren would always enjoy going to “Papa’s Pumpkin Patch” to pick all the pumpkins and during the summer he would always give his grandkids rides on his ATV. He was a father figure to many people and could light up any room with his witty sense of humor and charm. He was loved by many. He was preceded in death by his parents Oliver and Genevieve, father and mother in law Alfred (Short) and Lorraine Bierschenk, sister-in-law Myra Snodgrass, brother-in-law Bob Goeschel, sister-in-law Cindy and husband Larry Pospisil, sister-in-law Colleen and husband Lowell Weber, nephews Stacy Snodgrass and Shawn Bierschenk. He is survived by his wife Kathy and four legged friend Peanut; daughter Kristie Bruening, wife of Darin, mother to Samantha, Alec, and Blaire of Norfolk, NE; son Rob Snodgrass, husband of Kara (Allen), father to Dakota Allen, Cole Allen, and Ryann Snodgrass of High Point, NC; son J.J. Snodgrass, husband of Helen (Olmer), father of Keaton, Owen, and Calen of Norfolk, NE; Brothers Ron Snodgrass of Omaha, NE and Warren Snodgrass husband of Merry of Orchard, NE; brother in law Gaylen, husband of Jean Bierschenk of Randolph, NE; sister in law Marsha, wife of Jim Louthan; and many nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
