Obituary Richard C. Newkirk, 81, of Reading, passed away Monday, November 18th, at Ephrata Community Hospital, Ephrata. Richard was born in Reading, on July 15, 1938, a son of the late Esther A. (Hughes) and Paul S. Newkirk. Mr. Newkirk was the husband of Linda J. (Mast) NewKirk. He was a member of the former St. Thomas U.C.C. Richard graduated from Reading High School in 1956. He was a member of Reading Masonic Lodge #549, and was a former secretary for the Bern Township Lions Club.
