Raymond Charles Latham passed away in peace on Sunday, December 15, 2019 at the age of 79 at Life Care Center of Athens. Born on October 2, 1940 to the late Walter Clarence and Edna White Latham. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by an infant sister, Linda and brother, Clarence Latham. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Linda Elisabeth McMillan Latham, and sons and daughters-in-law, Charlie and Karen Latham and Andy and April Latham. He is also survived by granddaughters, Allison, Anna and Emily, and grandson, Chandler; special nephews, Mike Stephenson and David Stephenson; brother, Donald Latham (Betty); sisters, Geraldine Latham White and Judy Nunley (Marty); sister-in-law, Virginia Stephenson; and many nieces and nephews. Raymond was a member of Allen Memorial United Methodist Church, an avid golfer and local businessman. There will be no formal visitation; private family “Going Home Celebration” will be held at McMinn Memory Gardens graveside at a later date, The Rev. Doug Alexander officiating. The family wishes to thank the staff and employees of Life Care Center of Athens and Hospice of Chattnooga for their kind and compassionate care of Raymond.
