Pamela’s Obituary Pamela Cox, age 65 passed away on Sunday, December 22, 2019 at Sanford USD Medical Center surrounded by her family. Funeral Services will be 2:00 PM Friday, December 27, 2019 at George Boom Funeral Home & On-Site Crematory, Sioux Falls. Visitation will be on Thursday, December 26, 2019 at George Boom Funeral Home from 5:00-7:00 PM with a Liturgical Wake Services and Holy Rosary beginning at 7:00 PM. Pamela Jean Kokenge was born on November 30th, 1954 in Tyler, MN, to Vince and Dee Kokenge. She spent most of her childhood in Sioux Falls, SD in a large family with 7 children. She graduated from Washington High School in 1973. Pam spent nearly 40 years working at Sanford as a Pharmacy Technician. Pam was united in marriage with Jeff Cox on November 15th, 1986 in Sioux Falls. Pam and Jeff made their home in Sioux Falls and were blessed with four children: Amber, Stephanie, Samantha and Dustin. Her children blessed her with 8 grandchildren: Jayden, Chloe, Jeremiah, Landon, Paeton, Kallen, Braylee and Liam. Pam enjoyed spending her time with family. She always made sure every holiday and birthday was special. She enjoyed traveling, especially to visit her children and grandchildren. The last several years she was grateful to have traveled to many places and always enjoyed attending concerts with Jeff. Pam spent her life always being a giver. She gave so much to all of her loved ones. She never expected anything in return. She was the most selfless person. She was like an angel here on earth. She will be greatly missed by all. Grateful for sharing her life are her husband, Jeff Cox of Sioux Falls; four children, Amber (Brandon Moncur) Kokenge of Minneapolis, MN, Stephanie (Dwight Feigum) Cox of Sioux Falls, Samantha (Buddy) Hoff of Lincoln, NE, Dustin (Luigi Albanese) Cox of Toronto, Canada; mother, Delores Kokenge of Sioux Falls; seven grandchildren; siblings, Mike (Marcia) Kokenge of Sioux Falls, Larry (Colleen) Kokenge of Sioux Falls, Kathy (Jim) Lang of Sioux Falls, Cindy Ruggiero of Livermore, CA, Ron (Barb) Kokenge of Sioux Falls; and a host of additional relatives and friends. Pamela was preceded in death by her father, Vincent Kokenge; brother, Doug Kokenge; grandson, Liam Feigum; brothers-in-law, Bruce Spidel and Tony Ruggiero. Read More
