Otha’s Obituary Otha Mitchell “Big O” or “Mitch” Arthur, 73, of Parkersburg passed away Friday, December 20, 2019 at his residence. He was born August 21, 1946 in Parkersburg, a son of the late Otha Curtis and Donnie Mae Hicks Arthur. Mitch was a graduate of Parkersburg High School and retired from O’Ames with over 30 years of service. He was a member of the Steelworkers Union and enjoyed fishing and playing pool. Mitch is survived by his wife of 47 years, Barbara Lipps Arthur; his children, Angela Michelle Oxley of Belpre, Jeremy Robert Arthur of Bristow, VA, Justin Scott Arthur of Vienna, and Jeffry Todd Arthur of Parkersburg; two sisters, Joyce Loan and Ruth Jackson both of Parkersburg; one brother, Harold Arthur of Barberton, OH; two granddaughters, Eden Grace Oxley and Madeleine Nicole Gobidas (Aaron); two great-grandchildren, Elizabeth Pia Gobidas and Gaius Atlas Gobidas; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to his parents, Mitch was preceded in death by his brothers, Otha C. “Bob” Arthur and infant brother, Richard Arthur and one sister, Oma Ruth “Boots” North.
