Obituary of Ollie Violet Davis Ollie Violet Davis, 89, of Abilene, passed away on Thursday, December 5, 2019 in Coleman, Texas. Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, December 10, 2019 at the Clear Fork of the Brazos Cemetery in Lueders, Texas with David Cason officiating. Services are under the direction of The Hamil Family Funeral Home, 6449 Buffalo Gap Road. Ollie was born on May 12, 1930 in Lueders to the late Newman and Ruth (Hensley) Bowman. She and Horis Lee Davis were married on July 18, 1948 in Lueders. He preceded her in death on April 2, 2007. Ollie worked as a department head for Walmart for several years. She loved to sew, crochet, work in the garden and paint. Ollie was preceded in death by one granddaughter, Brenda Jeanette Huff; two brothers, Phillip Petty and John W. Bowman, and one sister, Mary Woodfin. She is survived by two daughters, Cheryl Hodges and husband Larry A.of Coleman, Texas and Brenda Borisow and husband Alfred of Lanham, Maryland; one brother, Aaron Petty of Tucson, Arizona; one sister, Dovie Mohr of South Texas; five grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, and one great-great granddaughter.
