Obituary Noah Michael Shaffer, 16, of Martinsburg, WV; passed away on Thursday, November 28, 2019. He was born on Leesburg, Virginia; a son of Shane Michael and Alicia A. (Hall) Shaffer of Martinsburg, WV. Along with his parents he is survived by sisters Kennedy Grace Shaffer and Sydney Ann Shaffer; grandparents Richard and Mary Hall; Max and Deanna Shaffer; great grandparents Warren Eugene Ritchey and LaRue Shaffer; aunts and uncles Michael married to Sarah Hall, Andrew and Deanna Hall, Heather married to Matthew Peck and numerous cousins. Noah was a junior at Spring Mills High School, Martinsburg, WV, where he had a 4.5 GPA. He wanted to study to be a herpetologist. He helped to start a club called the Eastern Panhandle Herps. Noah found peace and happiness in the outdoors catching reptiles and amphibians, exploring, building forts and spending time with family. He was looked up to by many younger than he, he had a special connection to kids and animals. A time of visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 11, 2019 from 4-7 P.M. at the Akers Funeral Home, Inc., 299 Raystown Road, Everett, PA 15537. If Friends so desire memorial contributions may be made in memory of Noah to the Berkeley County Humane Society, Martinsburg, WV or Blue Ridge Wildlife Conservation, Boyce, VA or Friends of Cowan’s Gap.
