Naomi’s Obituary Naomi Ruth Bray passed away Thursday, November 21, 2019 in Syracuse, NY. She was born on January 28, 1935 in Kewanee, IL and at the age of 18 years old, moved to New York City. She married Harry Bray in 1970 on Long Island and moved to Syracuse in 1973. Naomi worked on the staff of Senator Tarky Lombardi, Jr. for twenty years during her time in the NYS Senate, followed by five years as Regional Representative for Governor George Pataki. She served as Town of Clay Board Member (1993-2017) and member of the Building Committee. She led efforts to reclaim, develop and revitalize the Three Rivers area. Naomi also served as Chair for the Clay Republican Committee for over 30 years as well as board member for many prestigious not-for-profit organizations. Naomi is predeceased by her husband, Harry Bray of Syracuse, NY; parents, George & Hazel Felton; brothers, Dean Felton & Gaylord Felton, and her sister, Joan Santoro. Whenever she could, Naomi loved traveling to Long Island to visit her family, especially for holidays and vacations. She will be deeply missed by her niece, Lisa Laing, her husband Robert, and their children Kelsey and Brendan, and her nephew Bruce Santoro, his wife Susan, and their children Jessica (Nick) Rimatello and Nicholas. Also her great nieces and nephews, David Felton, Mike Felton, Mark Felton and Julie Felton Foster and their families. Calling hours will be Sunday, December 8, 2019 from 2:00 – 5:00 pm with a memorial service immediately following at the Maurer Funeral Home Moyers Corners, 3541 State Route 31, Baldwinsville, NY 13027. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Naomi’s memory to the American Cancer Society, 6725 Lyons St., East Syracuse, NY 13057.
