Shayna Olivia Wilcox, 22, of Baton Rouge, formally of Columbus, died unexpectedly at 2:49 a.m. Sunday, December 15, 2019 in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Shayna was born September 15, 1997, the daughter of James and Charisa Johnson Wilcox. Survivors include her greatest love, Jawun “Italian” Giovanni; father, James (Judith) Wilcox of California; mother, Charisa Johnson of Columbus; sister, Tomeka Williams of Indianapolis; brother, Carnell Williams of Columbus; grandparents, Deborah Johnson and Gary Harris, both of Columbus and Marla Wilcox of Nevada; several nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles. She was preceded in death by her aunt, Jessica (Harris) Salas and brother, James Wilcox, Jr. The funeral will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, January 4, 2020 at Barkes, Weaver & Glick Funeral Home on Washington Street with Rev. Larry Rowe officiating. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Garland Brook Cemetery.
