He was born in Wichita, Kansas to Roy and Laura M. (Knevels) Lichtenberg on July 17, 1949 . Michael served in the United States Marines and was a wounded Vietnam Veteran. He was very proud to be a Marine. He was preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Laura M. Lichtenberg; daughter, Shawna Lichtenberg; step son, David Bridges; two sisters, Judy Villa and Peggy Blodgett. Michael is survived by his wife of 28 years, Christine (Mundy) Lichtenberg, of Wichita; children, Tracy Rouse of Wichita, Christal Lichtenberg, Colorado Springs, CO; step children, Amber (Brad) Harp, Augusta, KS, Kimberly Wimmer, Goddard, KS, Stephanie Gonzalez, Wichita, KS, Shelly McGuire, Andover, KS and Robert (Connie) Bridges, Atlanta, KS; siblings, Richard (Pamela) Lichtenberg, and Linda Keith; brother in law, Julio Villa, all of Wichita; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. Visitation held on Tues. Dec., 10, from 5-7 pm and Funeral Service on Dec., 11, at 10:30 am, 2019. Both held at Affinity All Faiths Mortuary, 2850 S. Seneca, Wichita. Interment will take place on Wednesday, Dec. 11 at 1:30 pm, at The Kansas Veterans Cemetery in Winfield, KS. Memorials can be made to The Wounded Warrior Project, 4899 Belfort Rd Unit 300, Jacksonville, FL 32256.
