Michael (“Mike”) Kearney O’Daniel, 81, of Fayetteville died December 27, 2019 from lung cancer. Originally from San Antonio, Texas, Mike graduated from St. Mary’s University. After moving to Fayetteville, he met and married Dolores (“Dell”) Feliu McLaughlin in 1964. They soon moved to Indianapolis, Indiana where Michael worked for Eli Lilly and Company. During his career in medical sales and marketing, they also lived in Hong Kong, Ohio, California, New Jersey, Maryland and Massachusetts before returning to Fayetteville in 2004. Mike was a passionate golfer, an animal lover, an epicure, and an active reader who enjoyed debating philosophy and politics. He was predeceased by his parents, siblings, and wife. He is survived by his son Patrick Kevin O’Daniel, daughter- in- law Catherine and grandsons Ian and Finn O’Daniel of California; his step-daughter Irene Castle McLaughlin of Belmont Ma; and by his loving companion, Mary Skelton of Fayetteville. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations to the Humane Society of the Ozarks.
