Michael J. “Mike Z” Zawistowski, 73, of Nutley, passed away Saturday November 30, 2019. Born in Jersey City to the late Henry and Catherine, he has lived in Nutley for 35 years. Before his retirement, Michael was a Railroad Police Officer for Conrail in Kearny. He served in the United States Army and was a member of the Belleville American Legion. Michael is survived by his wife Patricia DelMaestro, daughters Dawn Marie Zawistowski, Christina Rueda and her husband Ernesto, son Joseph DelMaestro Jr., brother William, sister Katherine, grandchildren Nicole Anderson, Alyssa and Kylie DelMaestro, Alaina Rueda, and great grandson Christopher Schaffer. Cremation is private. A memorial visitation and service will be announced at a later date. Kindly omit flowers.
