Ferland, 68, of Harrisville, RI passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, December 26, 2019. He leaves his former wife, mother of their children and lifelong friend Anne M. (Collamati) Ferland of New Bedford, MA. He is the father of Christopher P. Ferland and his wife, Lori-Anne of Woonsocket, RI and Nicholas G. Ferland and his wife, Amy of Harrisville, RI. He leaves his grandsons Brayden N., Logan R. and Mason G. Ferland. Born in Claremont, NH on March 27, 1951 the son of the late Armand and Doris (Lamarre) Ferland. He is the brother of Yvette Ome, Roland Ferland and his wife, Lisa, Louise Aridono, Edgar Ferland and his wife, Patricia, Ernest Ferland and his wife, Maureen, Arthur Ferland and his wife, Patricia, Doris Brown and her husband, Len, Albert Ferland and his wife, Cindy and Jane Brissette and her husband, Vernon. He also leaves his nieces and nephews. A resident of Harrisville formerly of Woonsocket and Bellingham, Moe owned and operated Ferland Woodworking Company in Bellingham. He previously was the manager of Collamati Woodworking Company, which he purchased from his father-in-law in 1988. He was a member of the Woonsocket Sportsman’s Club. He made charitable donations to many outdoor sports. Moe raised chickens, rabbits, and turkeys. He enjoyed golfing, bike riding, hiking, camping and the outdoors. Moe will be greatly missed. Funeral Service will be held on Friday, January 3rd at 7:00PM at CARTIER’S FUNERAL HOME, 151 So. Main St. (Rte 126), Bellingham, MA. Visiting hours are from 5PM to 7PM prior to service. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Interment in the Scott Cemetery, Bellingham will be in the spring. In lieu of flowers donations to a charity of your choice would be appreciated.
