Mary’s Obituary Mary M. Winland, 84, of Parkersburg, passed away on Thursday, December 19, 2019 at Camden Clark Medical Center. She was born October 30, 1935, in Brohard, WV, a daughter of the late William H. and Emily F. Westfall Veon. Mary was a graduate of Wirt County High School. She worked for Dudley’s Florist for many years. Mary attended Lauckport Baptist Church and Jefferson Baptist Temple where she was involved in the ladies church groups. She is survived by her son, Michael R. Winland (Gloria) of Williamstown; her daughter, Vicki L. Curlee (Rusty) of Phenix City, AL; one brother, Arnold Veon of Coolville, OH; grandchildren, Michael Winland (Trisha), Kristin Stephan (Greg), Eric Baker and Timothy Baker (Casey); and two great-grandchildren, Madeline Stephan and Abigail Stephan. In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Samuel R. Winland; brothers, James Veon, Orville “Paul” Veon and Donald Veon; and sisters, Mae Maze, Hazel Snider and Ruth Freed. Funeral services will be held at 2 pm on Sunday, December 22, 2019 at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 2333 Pike St, south Parkersburg with Pastor Dobby Thrash officiating. Burial will be at Sunset Memory Gardens at the family’s convenience. Visitation will be from 12-2 pm on S at the funeral home. Read More
