Obituary Canton – Martha Emerson Case, 88, passed away on Tuesday, December 24, 2019 at her residence. Martha was a native and lifelong resident of Haywood County and a daughter of the late William and Neppie Wilson Emerson. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Andy Case, who died in 1992; a daughter, Marsha Ann Young; and a grandson, Lewis Lewis. Martha retired from American Enka with 45 years of service. She is survived by two daughters, Rebecca Queen of Canton and Kathy Thompson and Anthony of Johnson City, Tennessee; a son-in-law, Mack Young; two grandchildren, Anna Swingle and Joe of Candler and Bryan Young, Sabrina and family, of Canton; and four great-grandchildren, Micah Lewis, Andy Young, Emily Lewis and Rhylee Swingle. A graveside service will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Friday, December 27, 2019 at Morning Star Community Cemetery with the Reverend Eric Hill officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 p.m. prior to the service at Wells Funeral Home of Canton.
