Obituary Mark Lee Engelbrecht, age 60, of Elwood, passed away on Saturday, December 14, 2019 at St. Vincent Mercy Hospital in Elwood. He was born in Muncie, on August 28, 1959, to the late Robert and Roselyn (Lindsay) Engelbrecht. Mark enjoyed NASCAR and watching football. He loved being outside enjoying nature and watching the sunsets. Mark loved to have family cookouts and the 4th of July was his favorite holiday. Being with his family was more important than anything to Mark. He enjoyed the simple things in life and especially enjoyed a good cold beer. Mark enjoyed seeing crosses and things that represent the Lord. He had a love for God and had an excellent relationship with the Lord. Mark is survived by his wife, Jane Chestnut of Elwood; son, Jason Chestnut of Elwood; daughter, Chastity Chestnut of Elwood; brother, Gary Engelbrecht; and sister, Victoria Engelbrecht. He was preceded in death by his parents Robert and Roselyn. Funeral service will be at 2:00 PM Thursday, December 19, 2019 at Dunnichay Funeral Home, Elwood, Indiana with Pastor Rodney Ellis officiating. Burial will follow in the Elwood City Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday, December 19, 2019, 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM, at Dunnichay Funeral Home, 1113 S. Anderson Street, Elwood, Indiana.
