Marie’s Obituary MacFee-Tippett, Marie A. of Montrose, age 88, died Monday, December 16, 2019, at her home. A memorial service will be 11 a.m. Saturday, December 21, 2019, at Rossell Funeral Home. Pastor Adam Maloney will officiate. There will be a gathering of family and friends from 9 a.m. Saturday until the time of the service at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family. Marie was born in Bay Minette, Alabama on April 6, 1931, the daughter of Walter and Luna (Blackerby) Racine. She married Leonard J. Tippett and he preceded her in death on January 25, 1974. She married James MacPhee on August 20, 1983, and he survives her. Marie was the first female dispatcher in the Flint area for several trucking companies. She enjoyed flower gardening and cooking. She was a wonderful mother and grandmother who loved her family more than anything. Marie is survived by her husband, James MacPhee; children, Leonard (Tracey) Tippett, Thomas (Nancy) Tippett, Steven (Kimberly) Tippett; step-children, Harold MacPhee and Donna MacPhee; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her son, Robert James Tippett. Read More
