Alexander Castine, 83, of Shelby, AL passed away December 18, 2019. She was a member of Seventh Street Baptist Church. Margaret was a member of the Bessemer Recreation Center. Margaret was active in her church functions. She was a loving wife, devoted mother and proud “Granny”. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jimmy Castine. Margaret is survived by her sons, Rick (Peggy) Alexander and Stony (Lisa) Alexander; her grandchildren, Brandi (Seith) Tucker, Rocky (Shandra) Alexander, Michael (Jennifer) Alexander, Brett (Kelli) Alexander and Nicholas Alexander; seven great grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and extended loving family and friends. Funeral service will be Monday, December 23, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at Bessemer Brown Service Funeral Home with burial following at Valhalla Cemetery. Bro. Tommy Chesser will be officiating the service. The family will receive friends Monday from 1:00 p.m. until service time at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to the Lottie Moon Missionary fund or your favorite Humane Society.
