Margaret Virginia Lucas Butts, 87, of Martinsburg went to be with her best friend Jesus on Friday, December 20, 2019 at her residence. Born April 24, 1932 in Martinsburg, WV she was the daughter of the late Lester Frank Lucas and Dorothy Elizabeth Sencindiver Lucas. She was a member of Faith Tabernacle, Gerrardstown, WV. She is survived by two sons, Gerald Lee Butts and wife Danise, Kevin Lake Butts; four grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; one brother, Wayne “Butch” Lucas; many nieces and nephews; special nephew, Glen Hess, who helped to take care of her. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lee Virgil Louis Butts; one brother, Lester Lucas, Jr.; and four sisters, Betty Lee Butts, Florence Hess, Velma Jean Clark, and Elizabeth Lucas. Family will receive friends on Thursday, December 26, 2019 from 6:00PM to 8:00PM at Brown Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held on Friday, December 27, 2019 at 1:00PM at Brown Funeral Home with Pastor Hersel Bennett and Rev. Nathan Travis. Interment will be in Rosedale Cemetery.
