Louise Faye Martin, age 82, of Nixa, Missouri, passed away in her home Thursday, November 28, 2019. She was born on October 10, 1937 in West Virginia, the daughter of Clayton and Freida (Kennedy) Clere. On July 17, 1964 she and John Martin were married. Louise worked as a relief manager for Western Union before her marriage and starting her family. The family lived in Canton, Ohio, where Louise became a stay at home mother and active member of Bethel Temple Assembly of God Church. She served in the Women’s Ministries of the church and enjoyed entertaining. Most important in Louise’s life were her God, her family, and friends. Following John’s retirement, they moved to this area in 1998. Survivors include: Her husband, John; a daughter, Deborah Edwards and husband Tom of Nixa; a son, Mike Martin of Nixa; a brother, David Clere and wife Marge, and sister-in-law Annie Martin, all of Canton, Ohio; and nieces and nephews throughout the country. Louise was preceded in death by a daughter, Beth Ann Martin in 2002, a brother Eddie Clere, and her parents. Visitation will be Tuesday, December 3, from 11:00 am until noon in Adams Funeral Home, Nixa. A graveside service will be 1:00 PM Tuesday at Missouri Veterans Cemetery, Springfield, Missouri.
