Kurt Douglas Todd, 57, of Bloomington, passed away on Thursday, December 19, 2019 at his residence. He was born on February 27, 1962 in Bloomington, the son of Robert and Phyllis (Humphrey) Todd. Kurt graduated from Bloomington High School South where he was a star athlete as a pole vaulter and football player. Kurt went on to work for Todd’s Welding and Steel Fabrication, a family business located in Bloomington, and as a sheet metal union worker in Indianapolis along with various other sheet metal jobs. Kurt enjoyed spending time at Lake Monroe. Kurt is survived by his daughter, Lacie (Brandon) Axsom; father Robert “Bob” Todd; niece, Kara (Daniel) Young; nephews, Colby Wicker and Kris Todd; along with numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his mother, Phyllis Todd and brother, Timothy Todd. A funeral service will be held on Friday, December 27, 2019 at Allen Funeral Home and Crematory, 4155 S. Old State Road 37, Bloomington. Burial will follow at Clear Creek Cemetery. Kurt’s family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service.
