Kevin Curtiss Jacobs OBITUARY Kevin Curtiss Jacobs was born in New York City on February 7, 1973 to Beverly Davis and George Jacobs. Kevin was raised and resided in New York City for his entire life and attended public schools there and graduated high school in 1991. After graduating high school Kevin held several jobs in various fields but ultimately found employment within the NYC Department of Education as a school/teacher’s aide at various elementary and junior high schools in Manhattan and the Bronx. Kevin truly loved his jobs working with youth and for many summers worked as a camp counselor at different sleep away as well as day camps in the city. His work was one of several passions he had. The others were sports, (a true die hard Yankees fan) spending time with his many long time friends, listening to music and enjoying life. Kevin truly loved his family many friends and considered each and everyone of them family as well. And he made friends easily and always made time for them. Particularly if they were having a problem or needed a hand or just someone to talk to, he was there for them if it was possible for him to be there. No favor was too difficult or troublesome because they were family. And being a winter baby he also loved snow and cold weather. The colder and snowier it was the more he enjoyed it and he held a strange fascination for weather in general, always looking for storm clouds, lightning, thunder, hurricanes, tornadoes anything having to do with weather was a topic he loved to discuss and better yet, experience. But held a very healthy respect for thunder and lightning. Kevin is the father of Tyler Santiago, 21 years of age and son of Lynn Santiago. Kevin loved his son deeply and wanted more father son occasions over the years but they were not as numerous as he would have preferred. Kevin is survived by his son Tyler, sister, Angela, mother, Beverly, brother-in-law Antonio, sister-in-law Shirley, cousins Randy, Jeannette, Tiffany, and Chemiese, his uncle, Bernard and a host of friends, former colleagues and extended family members. Among Kevin’s many loyal and true frieds that have poured out their love for him that he also had for all of them his family thanks and cherishes your warmth, concern, assistance and kindness that was offered to the family during this most sad and difficult period in our lives. With special mention and thanks to Anthony, Kirk, Clement, Kenya, Michelle and to Irving for traveling so far to honor his friend. But we thank you all from the bottom of our hearts.
