Mr. Keith DeArmond, age 61, of Birmingham formerly of Arab, passed away on Tuesday, December 17, 2019 at St. Vincent East Medical Center. Mr. DeArmond was born on December 2, 1958 to James Gardner DeArmond & Wilma Lois Gibbs DeArmond. He enjoyed watching Alabama Football and Nascar Racing. Mr. DeArmond hobbies include woodworking, drawing and making cigar box guitars. He was a member of Union Grove First Baptist Church. Mr. DeArmond is survived by his sister, Kathy DeArmond King; nephews, Jim King (Ashley Gaddis), Jon King (Shelby Waddell); aunts, Judy Glenn, Margaret Dodd; host of cousins and many friends. Preceded in death by his parents, Gardner and Wilma DeArmond. Visitation will be held prior to the service from 4:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. and the memorial service will begin at 6:00 p.m. Thursday, December 19, 2019 at Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel with Bro. Greg Narrell, officiating. Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel, directing. In lieu of flowers the family has requested donations be sent to the Union Grove First Baptist Church Building Fund or the American Heart Association.
