Katherine’s Obituary Katherine Louise Shelton Saenz, our beautiful mother, passed away on Sunday, December 15, 2019 in Corpus Christi, Texas. She was 71 years old. She was born on August 9, 1948 in Roanoke, Virginia to Douglas and Katherine Shelton. She was the oldest of four children. Katherine loved to travel. One of her favorite places she lived was in Okinawa, Japan. She taught English to Japanese businessmen and loved substitute teaching. She enjoyed cooking, crafting, crocheting and decorating for every holiday, Christmas being her favorite. She loved making treats for her students and adored the color purple. Katherine is preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her husband, Henry Saenz. Her children, Katherine (Roy) Johnson, Kelly (Kris) Lamb, and Johnny Vines. Stepchildren, Samanthia, Henry Jr. and Rose. Her grandchildren, Katherine Muzzall, Nicholas Baldwin, Trevor (Robbie) Baldwin, David (Valerie) Morin, Jr., Trenton Vines, Raven Vines and Kelli Ann (Roy) Myers. Great-grandchildren, Bentley Douglas Muzzall, Emilee Myers, Jesse and Bethany. Katherine’s siblings, Lynn (Bob) Bailey, Gale (Ralph) McCloskey, Douglas (Adriana) Shelton II and numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. She is also survived by her two fur babies, Kamryn and Blondie. Visitation will begin at 9:00 a.m., Thursday, December 19, 2019 at Maxwell P. Dunne Funeral Home, 5921 Yorktown Blvd in Corpus Christi, Texas. A Graveside Service will follow at 2:30 p.m. at Evergreen Cemetery in Odem, Texas. Read More
