Obituary for Joyce A. Phillips Joyce Ann Phillips was born September 17, 1946 in Nashville, Tennessee to the late Benjamin Franklin and Mozella Bright Phillips. She departed this life on Wednesday, December 18, 2019, in Nashville, Tennessee, where she lived for many years. Joyce was educated in the Metro Nashville Public School System, where she received her diploma in 1964 from Pearl High School. She worked for many years with Aladdin Industries on Murfreesboro Road. The last few years she worked with Metro Nashville Public Schools as a Crossing Guard. Preceding Joyce in death were both her parents, her older sister, Gwendolyn Phillips and her younger brother, Joseph Phillips. Joyce leaves to cherish her memory: two brothers – Benjamin F. (Ruby) Phillips III, of Cleveland, Ohio and Michael C. Phillips of Nashville, Tennessee; two sisters – Sherrie Phillips (Enouch) Boles of Nashville, Tennessee and Brenda Phillips Crismon of Murfreesboro, Tennessee. She also leaves a host of nieces and nephews, cousins and friends. A memorial service will be held Friday, December 27, 2019 at 12 noon at Living Word International Church, 5100 Wyoming Avenue, Nashville, Tennessee 37209.
