Joy Ilene “Ogden” Brents, age 73, of Hattieville, Arkansas, passed away Monday, December 30, 2019. She was born September 3, 1946 in Morrilton, Arkansas, a daughter of James Ogden and Gertha Clark Ogden. Joy was the widow of James Bratton Brents. She was a homemaker, liked to travel and loved her grandkids. She is survived by her sons, Randy (Shelley) Brents of Hattieville and Roland Brents of Clarksville; brothers, Raymond Ogden, James (Bonnie) Ogden, and Kenny (Sanita) Ogden; sisters, Betty Nix and Helen (Fred) Dicus; four grandsons, Brandon (Megan) Brents, Randy (Jennifer) Brents, Jr., Keith (Kayla) Brents, and Austin (Brittany) Brents; and nine great grandchildren. Other than her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two sisters and one brother. Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday, January 2, at the Harris Chapel with Bro. Danny Ward officiating. Burial will be at Robertstown Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service.
