Joseph’s Obituary Long time resident of Dundalk since November 1955, Joseph Charles Miller, died on December 20, 2019. He was 92 years old. Born in Harford County, Joppa MD on September 17, 1927, the youngest of a family of six, they moved to Baltimore City in 1939. Joe attended Patterson Park High School from 1942-1946 when he entered the American Air Force after enlisting in the Reserves in October 1944. Upon discharge from the Air Force in 1947, he worked at the GM Plant doing assembly work, then went to work for the Martin Marietta Company in 1950. At this time, he met and married Elizabeth Sherba. They moved to Dundalk with their two sons, Joseph and Robert in 1955, where a third son, Donald, was born in 1957. Upon leaving the Martin Marietta Company, he took a job at Armco Steel in 1964 where he completed an Electrical Apprenticeship in 1971. In 1969, he began a program of study that led to his A.A. Degree in August 1975 from Es Community College. He retired from Armco in November 1987. Joseph is survived by his children, Joe Miller and his wife Pat, Bob Miller and his wife Joyce and Gary Miller and his wife Carie. Joseph is also the devoted grandfather of 10 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. Family will receive friends at the CONNELLY FUNERAL HOME OF DUNDALK, 7110 Sollers Point Road Dundalk, MD 21222 on Sunday from 3:00 PM – 5:00 PM and 7:00 PM – 9:00 PM. A service to celebrate Joseph’s life will be held on Monday, 11:00 AM, at the funeral home.
