Educated in West Albany at Roselville School. He became an apprentice at Fort Orange Press in 1956 His career was with one job for 43 years. He went through the ranks and became foreman in the composing room. Linotype to computers. in charge of 15 men, then being computerized the department went to two (2) men. Himself and Artie Parisi. He loved what he did until it was time to let go. He retired in 2000. His love for cars, he drove a van for Manheim, the car auction for 10 years, he loved that job so much he gave up months warm weather. His father, deceased Charles Cameron and mother, deceased Irene Cameron was a family of horses. he raced them at harness track in Saratoga NY Race Course. He was married to his love Dorothy Cameron for 34 years. Had three(3) children Cheryl Rusin(Cameron), Richard, John Cameron Jr., Daniel Cameron.He also had three (3) stepchildren, Roseanne McCaffrey,(Watts) Thomas Watts, Joananne Manella, (Watts) husband Matt. Four Grandchildren, Casey Rusin, Corey Mullen-Rusin, Candin Rusin, Conner Rusin. Four Step-Grandchildren Matthew McCaffrey, Erica McCaffrey, Patrick Manella, Kendall Manella. Two Great Grandchildren: Griffin Mullen-Rusin and Login Mullen-Rusin. He will join in eternal life his parents Charles Cameron, Father, Irene Cameron, Mother, and Grandson Conner Rusin. Friend and Relatives invited to attend a calling at New Comer Funeral Home, Albany NY for one hour TBD. He will be laid to rest at Most Holy Redeemer Mausoleum in Schenectady,NY at later date. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to St Jude’s Children’s Hospital or Charity of your Choice.
