John Henry Couch, 74, Johnson City, died Saturday, December 21, 2019 at his residence. John was born in Washington County to the late Clarence and Kathleen Cash Couch. Along with his parents, his brother David E. Couch preceded him in death. John served in law enforcement for 47 years, receiving several honors and certificates. He was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church and Antioch Baptist Church. Those left to cherish his memory is his loving wife Patricia McCloud Couch; two sons, Greg Couch (Peggy) and Jonathan Couch (Angie); a granddaughter, Daphne Couch; a grandson, Dylan Couch; a brother Dennis Couch (Sheila); little brother and sister, David and Debbie Couch; two special nephews Blake and Finn; a family pet Benjy; several nieces, nephews, and cousins. The funeral service will be conducted Friday, December 27, 2019, at 2:00 P.M., from the East Chapel of Appalachian Funeral Home. The graveside committal service will follow in Washington County Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 12:00-2:00 P.M. in the East Parlor of the funeral home.
