Obituary SEHLHORST John G., age 77 of Fairfield passed away on December 5, 2019. He was born on April 28, 1942 in Hamilton to the late George and Elizabeth (nee Cook) Sehlhorst. On May 7, 1994 he married Joyce Brunning, she survives him. John is also survived by his children, John (Gail) Sehlhorst and David (Mary) Sehlhorst; step children, Lisa (Lee) Haynes and Tari Gregory; grandchildren, Hazel Sehlhorst, Brady and Sam Sehlhorst, Jesse (Ashlynn Schalk) Smith, Taryn (Sam) Fairbanks, Shawna Haynes, Macy Gregory, and Gabe Gregory; great grandchildren, Tyler, Parker, Kye, and Harley; sister Carol Paproski; numerous other family and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents. John was employed by the B&O Railroad until he retired in 2002. He was a past president of the UTU union; a veteran of the United States Army; an avid golfer; and a soccer coach for many years. He was also the co-founder and coach of the Big Blue Travel Soccer Club and a member of the East River Road Baptist Church. Visitation will be Saturday, December 14, 2019 from 11:00 a.m.- 12:00 p.m. at the East River Road Baptist Church, 4525 River Rd., Fairfield 45014.
