Jerry’s Obituary Jerry Wayne Williamson was called to his heavenly home from his Ardmore residence on the 17th day of December 2019 at the age of eighty years and three days. Homegoing services will be at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, December 21, 2019, at the Emmanuel Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Clearview Cemetery, with the assistance of Roilon Jones, Doug Williams, Joseph Williams, Kris Williamson, Billy Douglas, Jr. and Chris Pirtle serving as pallbearers. Born to the late J. B. Williamson and Catheriene (Turner) Williamson, Jerry was born at Ardmore, Oklahoma on the 14th day of December 1939. A resident of this area all of his life he had attended the Berwyn schools, was affiliated with the Mount Pleasant Baptist Church and had served in the U. S. Army. An auto mechanic at Goodyear Tire and Auto, in his leisure time Jerry enjoyed cooking, fishing and watching football, especially those that his son, Jermaine played in. A jack of all trades, Jerry was a handy-man to have around. In addition to his parents, Jerry was preceded in death by four brothers, Joseph Williamson, Danial Williamson, George Williamson and Willie Jones, Jr.; three sisters, Dorothy Jean Hughes, Fathie Mae Berryman and Kathelene Williamson. Surviving family, that will forever cherish precious memories of days gone-bye, include his three sons, Leaford Williamson, Jermaine Gresham and Jerry Williamson; his two daughters, Sherry Williamson and Angela Scallion; three brothers, Authur Lee Williamson, Terry Lee Williamson and Ira Louis Williamson; his sister, Willie Mae Jackson; ten grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren. The family has entrusted service arrangements to Harvey-Douglas Funeral Home and will host a time of visitation and support from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday evening at the funeral home, 2118 South Commerce, Ardmore.
