Jerry’s Obituary Senior Chief Petty Officer (Ret.) Jerry Wayne Pusley, 89, of Belton passed away on Friday, December 20, 2019 at his home in Belton. Services for Mr. Pusley will be held on Monday, December 30, 2019 at 11:00 AM at the Dossman Funeral Home chapel in Belton with Bobby Johnson officiating. Burial with Full Military Honors will follow at 1:00 PM at the Central Texas State Veteran’s Cemetery in Killeen. Jerry was born on February 17, 1930 in Ft. Worth, Texas to David Sr. and Lucretia (Williamson) Pusley. He grew up in Oklahoma and upon high school graduation joined the US Navy. Mr. Pusley served honorably for 25 years as a jet mechanic before retiring in 1974. After retirement, Jerry was the head of the maintenance for Odessa College and the University of Texas Permian Basin. He married Betty Marsh on November 10, 1957 in Reno, Nevada and they were married for over 55 years before she passed away in 2012. Jerry moved to Belton in 1998 from Odessa and was a member of the First Baptist Church in Belton. Jerry was preceded in death by his wife Betty, brother David Pusley, Jr., and sisters Maxine Johnson and Linda Coppage. Mr. Pusley is survived by sister Shirley Ann Keene of Hewitt, Tx and step sister Sara Moore of Odessa, along with numerous nieces and nephews. A visitation will be held on Sunday evening from 5-7 PM at Dossman Funeral Home in Belton. Read More
