Obituary for Jean R. Williamson (Russ) Jean R. Williamson, 81, Bellwood, died early Friday morning December 6, 2019 at her home. She was born April 12, 1938 in Altoona, daughter of the late Charles Edward, Jr. and Miriam (Emerick) Russ. On Jan. 24, 1959, she married James G. Williamson at Simpson United Methodist Church, Altoona, and he preceded her in death on March 28, 2016. Surviving are two sons, James G., Jr. (Pamela) of Bellwood and John E. “Jack” (Linda) of Jefferson, Md.; two daughters, Jody A. (Glenn) Bender of Duluth, Ga. and Jane L. (Ryan) Rosensteel of Hatfield; eight grandchildren, Megan (Miguel) Cevantes and Lauren (Greg) Munford, Erin (Trevor) Shaughnessy, Rand (Beth) Baughman, Cole and Dustin Williamson and Emily and Evan Rosensteel; four great grandchildren, Lyncoln, Rizzo, Leo and Emma; and a brother, Todd L. Russ of Altoona. Jean was employed as manager of the Oak Spring Winery, Logan Valley Mall location. She was a 60 year member of Trinity United Methodist Church, Bellwood, where she was a member of the Philathea Sunday school class and also served as lay leader and treasurer of United Methodist Women for many years. She was a member of Bellwood Antis Council of Churches and the Kosmos Club, Bellwood. Jean was a patron of the arts and loved playing bridge with her bridge club. Friends will be received from 4 to 8pm, Tuesday, Dec. 10, 2019 at Jon C. Russin Funeral Home, Inc. Bellwood and from 10 to 11am Wednesday, Dec. 11, 2019 at Trinity United Methodist Church, Bellwood. A funeral service will be held at 11am Wednesday at the church, with Rev. Carol Gathagan and Pastor Elizabeth Hess officiating. Interment will be at Blair Memorial Park, Antis Township. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that contributions in Jean’s memory be made to Trinity United Methodist Church, Bellwood.
