Jean’s Obituary Jean A. (Buch) Kastner-Spease, 67, of Dodgeville, Wisconsin, passed away on Sunday, December 15, 2019 at Upland Hills Health in Dodgeville. A Celebration of Life visitation will be held from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. on January 30, 2020. A private family burial will take place at Bryn Zion Cemetery, Rewey, Wisconsin. The Melby Funeral Home & Crematory, Platteville, is serving the family. Online condolences may be made at www.melbyfh.com. Jean was born on October 5, 1952 in Platteville, the daughter of Melvin and Dorothy (Sheldon) Buch. She graduated from Iowa-Grant High School in 1970. In 1971 she was united in marriage to William Kaster, together they had three children. Jean was a loving mother to her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She worked at Fend-All in Platteville for several years and worked various other jobs until going to work at Land’s End, where she was still currently employed. Jean had a passion for garage sales and collecting Winnie the Pooh and JFK memorabilia. Jean was a very giving person to her family and friends and she loved donating items to the Rewey corn boil bingo every year. Jean is survived by her mother, Dorothy (Buch) Schambow; children, William (fiance, Leslie) Kastner, Billie Jo Rochon, and Jamie (friend, Jackie) Kastner; eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; siblings, Penny (Ivan) Fredrich, Pat Bellmeyer, Frances (Jerry) Edwards, Connie (Charles) Vedvik, David (Tracey) Buch, Doug (Barb) Buch, Jeff (friend, Carol), and Mike (Jen) Buch; brother-in-law, Clyde Jackson; and several nieces, nephews, and aunts. She was preceded in death by her father, Melvin Buch; sister, Diane Jackson; and nephews, Brad Bellmeyer and Joseph Klein. Read More
