Carmel, TN went to be with the Lord on Sunday, December 8, 2019 at Holston Valley Medical Center. He was born in Kingsport, TN on December 18, 1950, and was the son of the late James Robert and Virginia Jo Ford Davidson. He was a member of Cameron United Methodist Church and was a US Army Veteran serving in Vietnam era and was stationed in Germany. He was the recipient of the National Defense Service Medal, Army Occupation Medal (Berlin) and Good Conduct Medal. Randall had retired from Eastman Chemical Co after 32 years of service as a maintenance mechanic. He loved to farm and loved his grandbabies. Mr. Davidson is survived by his daughter, Rebecca “Becky” Copas and husband George; a son Heath Davidson and wife Amber; grandchildren, Evan, Eli, Easton and Emma Davidson, Brooke, Lauren, Kenny and Tyler Copas; sister, Kathy Litle and husband Mark; brother, Danny Davidson and wife Betty; very special close friend, Donna Sparks; special nieces, Heather Christian and Holly Berndt and several great nieces; the mother of his children, Donna Davidson. The family will receive friends Wednesday, December 11, 2019 from 4 to 7 PM at Colonial Funeral Home, Weber City, VA. Funeral service will follow at 7 PM with Rev. Karl Berndt officiating. Music will be provided by Holly Berndt. Graveside service will be held Thursday, December 12, 2019 at 10 AM in the Holston View Cemetery, with the American Legion Post #3/265 and Virginia National Guard providing military honors. Those wishing to attend are asked to meet at the funeral home by 9:15 AM to follow in procession. Pallbearers are Butch Anderson, GB Sallee, Brian Davis, Hubert Feagins, Jim Carroll, Gary Banks, Tom Bishop and Frank Duncan.
