Obituary Jacqueline Runchey Ghysels eight-four years old from Grand Rapids MI passed away Tuesday morning December 24th, 2019 in Franklin, OH. She recently had moved from Grand Rapids, MI to Waynesville, OH. She was born in Saginaw MI, January 17, 1935, to Charles F Runchey and Helen M Runchey. Jackie graduated from St Lawrence School of Nursing in Lansing MI in 1956. Upon graduation, she served over 50 years in nursing in areas from public health, teaching, private care, and administrative. Jackie was elected president of the Women’s City Club of Grand Rapids from 2010 to 2012 and served with the Sweet House Foundation. She was a woman of service, diligence, and compassion to others who will be dearly missed. Jacqueline was preceded in death by her brothers Charles Jr. Runchey and Robert and (Mary) Runchey and sister Julia (Runchey) Sonefeld. She is survived by her sisters Kyran and (Edward) Domasik, Kathleen and (Herman) Saettler, and her brother Patrick Runchey. Her children, Tim and (Debra) Ghysels, and Teresa Hancox. Grandchildren Megan and (Bryan) Kamp, David and (Tanya) Ghysels, Charles and (Alexandra) Ghysels. Great-grandchildren Makayla Kamp, Lena Kamp, Zion Kamp, Damien Kamp, Emma Ghysels, Caprina Kamp, Lucian Kamp, Gabriel Ghysels. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, December 28, 11:00 am at St Paul the Apostle Church, 2750 Burton St SE with Rev. Peter O. Damian as celebrant. Interment Resurrection Cemetery. A Rosary will be prayed on Friday, December 27, from 6:00 to 6:30 pm with visitation to follow from 6:30 to 8:00 pm at the Zaagman Memorial Chapel, 2800 Burton St SE and also at church Saturday from 10:00 to 11:00 am prior to the service.
