Burial will be at the Old Field Cemetery. Mr. Street passed away on Sunday, December 15, 2019 at Clay County Hospital. A lifelong resident of Clay County and a Clay County High School Graduate from the class of 2000, Ike was a lover of sports from an early age. He spent the majority of his life after high school coaching not only his children but hundreds of other kids as well. He helped coach his son Anthony during football, basketball, and baseball when he attended Clay County High School and Central High School of Clay County, and helped coach his daughters, Jhona and Chasity, with Softball and Basketball. Ike coached City League Softball and Football, and genuinely enjoyed being around any sport. You could find Ike cheering on his family at any type of sporting event, and at Clay County Volunteer football games, you could hear him leading a “DEFENSE” chant from the bleachers, and he would be louder than the whole team. He loved to grill, mentor others and was always positive to those around him. Ike was a member of Refuge Healing Temple of God in Ashland and worked at Wellborn Cabinets for several years. He meant a lot to many generations of athletes that came from Clay County High School and the Clay Central Volunteers. Ike was a special soul and it is hard to think anyone could cross paths with him and not love him. Most importantly, He loved spending time with his wife and three kids. He is survived by his wife of 17 years: Wendy Dawn Street of Ashland; three children: Anthony Wood (Fiancée Mary-Lynne Peel) of Jackson, MS, Jhona Wood(Fiancée Quen Whitlow) of Lineville, and Chasity Street of Ashland; his mother, Vanessa Ann Street of Ashland; one sister: Tammie Street (Baretta Ackles) of Ashland; his nephew: Dewayne Street of Ashland; his in-laws: Wendell and Ann East of Millerville; his brother in law: Joseph East (Fiancée Cindi) of Heflin; a host of Aunts, Uncles and a large extended family Active Pallbearers will be: Cedric Smith, Tremayne Foster, Chad Gibbons, Jonathan Hornsby, Marlin Vaughn, John Jones, Patrick Frye, and Floyd Stewart.
