Hugh’s Obituary Luther Hugh Jenkins, age 73 of Brunswick, Missouri, passed away unexpectedly, on Wednesday, December 4, 2019. Hugh was born on November 15, 1946, the son of Luther Wiley and Dora (Hartshorne) Jenkins, born on November 15, 1946, in Carrollton, Missouri. He graduated from Bosworth High School, as well as Central Missouri State University in Warrensburg, Missouri, where he received a Bachelor’s Degree in Business. (Now known as University of Central Missouri). Hugh served in the United States Air Force. He worked as an insurance adjuster for over 20 years, the Census Bureau, and he was a farmer skilled in row crop farming and all stages of poultry raising including hatchery. His passions were the great outdoors, fishing, and farming, with hobbies including vintage tractors, cars, trucks, goats, and poultry. Hugh is survived by his three children, Jody Jenkins of Van Buren, Arkansas, Wade Jenkins of DeWitt, Missouri, and Derrick Jenkins and wife Melissa of Van Buren, Arkansas; four siblings, John Jenkins and wife Nana of Brunswick, Missouri, Carolyn Hibner and husband Willie of Chillicothe, Missouri, Roma Jenkins and wife Jean of Puget Sound, Washington, and Patrick Jenkins of Bosworth, Missouri; four grandchildren, Murphy Jenkins, Sawyer Jenkins, Sierra Jenkins, and Coltin Daniel. He was preceded in death by his parents, Luther and Dora Jenkins; his wife Dorothy (Daly) Jenkins; the mother of his children, Nancy Lynn (Smith) Jenkins and several siblings.
