KITLER – Surrounded by his family, Howard William Kitler, age 83 of Sparta, went home to be with his Lord and Savior, Friday, December 27, 2019. He was preceded in death by his wife of 58 years, Norma Kitler; parents, John and Anna Kitler; sister, Maryann Marek. Howard is survived by his children, Tim (Cindy) Kitler, Tom (Martha) Kitler, SueAnne (Dan) Elenbaas; grandchildren, Tami & John Goblembieski; Jeff Kitler; Zachary & Tyana Elenbaas; Chris Kitler; Nick & Ali Kitler; Michelle Kitler; Levi Kitler; Hunter & Katelynn Elenbaas; Eli Elenbaas; great grandchildren, Lucas, Mara & Nora Golembiewski; Daxton, Weston & Auston Elenbaas; Theo Kitler; brothers, John (Florence) Kitler and Robert Kitler; sister, Carol Piper. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Friday, January 3, 2019 at Alpine Baptist Church, 692 7 Mile Road, Comstock Park. His family will greet relatives and friends 6:00 to 8:00 PM Thursday at Stegenga Funeral Chapel, 1601 Post Dr. NE, Belmont and 10:00 to 11:00 AM Friday at the church. Howard’s children wish to extend their gratitude to Dad’s neighbors, Mike & Gail and Tom & Rich for the wonderful care that they gave Howard which allowed him to remain in his own home.
